Our body's immune system is the only and best line of defense that protects the body from germs and viruses. The immune system is a complex structure of antibodies, white blood cells, complex proteins, organs, and co-dependent networks. Some parts of the systems act as barriers and protect our organs like the brain, kidney, liver, heart, lung, etc., from virus attacks, while some other members of the system identify and remove invaders.

According to Martin Polanco, having a robust immune system is essential to protect us from the novel coronavirus. We must also follow various restrictions necessary to stop the infection from spreading. While responding to the changed lifestyle, we encounter tremendous stress as various disruptions are only increasing stress, both mental and physical. It is becoming challenging to practice healthy livingthat can boost our immune system. Although a robust immune system cannot prevent the disease, the effects will be less severe as your healthy body gets time to familiarize yourself with the virus if you fall sick. Taking steps to boost your immune system will help fight other viruses like the flu and the common cold.

Exercise and physical activities boots your immune system confirms Martin Polanco

The immune system derives its strength from the body's metabolism, which improves when you lead a highly active life and exercise regularly. The better is the body's metabolism; the stronger is the immune system. Therefore, if you exercise regularly, from moderate to more intense level, and engage in various physical activities, you are doing a lot of good for your body, improving your wellness and well-being. You will be more confident to combat the novel coronavirus that can never get the better of you.

Here are some ways of maintaining the desired level of physical activities.

Practice aerobic exercises

The more you move; the better will be your health and as recommended by the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, devote 150 -300 minutes every week for aerobic physical activity of moderate intensity. Besides, practice 2 weekly sessions of muscle strength training. Create your schedule for physical activities and practice it in small spells whenever you can because the sum of the parts will be greater than the whole.

Try indoor activities

Walk briskly around your house or up and down the stairs for 10-15 minutes during the day. Practice the jump rope, do some exercises and make a video of it, use some home cardio machines, or at least dance to your favorite music.

Try outdoor activities

Now that the restrictions for Covid19 are gradually withdrawn start your routine of daily walking or jogging and spend some time among nature. Do some gardening, go for a bike ride, or play your favorite game with the family members. Your body and mind remain entirely relaxed when you engage in outdoor activities.

Practice Yoga and mindfulness as it reduces anxiety and has a soothing effect on the mind. However, avoid crowded spaces, use a mask when moving outdoor and wash your hands frequently with soap.
