When you have kids New Year’s Eve takes on a whole new meaning. How about this year trying something new and different? At the same time you can enjoy your evening and the kids will too, try one of these Stress Free New Year’s Eve Tips!
Tips:
1. Think of your child’s age and schedule age appropriate celebrations for them. If they are young think about turning the clock back by 2 or 3 hours. Celebrate New Year’s at 9:00 p.m. with your kids, put them to bed, then continue your party with the adults to truly celebrate the Midnight Hour.
2. Replace making a New Year’s resolution with a New Year reflection! Have each family member speak about 1 or 2 accomplishments or goals they have reached this past year. For example a 5 year old may have just learned to read, your teenager may have learned to drive. Focus on the positive from the past instead of making promises to stop something in the future.
3. Instead of focusing on breaking out the champagne bubbly, how about celebrating by blowing bubbles with the whole family. Get a bunch of bubble blowing bottles and head outside and blow all your stress, lack, and resentments away. Imagine filling new bubbles with new hopes!
4. Commit to adding balance and good health to each and every day. Sprinkle your life with moments of relaxation in the coming year by introducing your family to calming music and stress management techniques. Show your family that you care enough to schedule downtime, unwind, and take care of yourself. Set the tone for your family!
I would like to wish you all from Stress Free Kids a very Happy, Healthy, Safe & Stress Free New Year!

Life Is Meant For Joy
With bills to pay, rent to cover, kids to corral, too much to do in too little time, especially with the Holidays upon us and all the extra stuff that needs tending, doing, paying for? Joy? Give it a rest. Well, I would, except joy is our basic nature. It’s what everything else we do is aiming for. Yes, money is nice, but why? For the joy it brings us in the form of comfort and/or giving to others. Success is grand, but why? For the joy of accomplishment, of expressing ourse
