Stress at the work place is a common occurrence. It happens on a daily basis. You have demands from you boss, your customer, tight deadline to meet, daily meetings, and when all seem fine and things are running smooth. Machine at your the workplace starts to break down. Or your simply have no idea how to start and you keep putting it off. Work on it for 10 to 15 minutes. No matter how unpleasant a task can be, we can tolerate it for short period time. Take 20 Have 20-minute nap in the afternoon. It allow your body and mind to recharge. You will feel more energize and your ability concentration improved. A quiet setting with low light is optimum for a solid nap. Form A Support Group Find people you can talk and relate to at work. Form a peer support group. No,.Not on facebook, but at work. When you have a support group at work. It makes you realize that you are not alone when face with a problem. There are people that you can turn to for help. Aim for excellent Don’t try to be perfect. Don’t worry. Worry brings fear. Trying to be perfect will lead to procrastination and job dissatisfaction. Do your job to the best of your ability. Once you are done move to the next task. Make a realistic schedule When you are give a project, factor in possible time for delay and give yourself ample time to finish. Be realistic. In today’s multi-tasking world there is always pressure to do as much as possible in the shortest time. Over Committing Check your workload for the day. Are you working on more than you can handle? Be realistic about how much you can do in a day. If you feel that there is too much on your plate, you can decline more work, ask for help or delegate to other people. Your posture A little thing we ignore most of the time is our posture. It is important to maintain your basic posture when you are working. If you sit most of the time, adjust the chair according to your body proportion. Keep your feet flat of the floor. Your ribcage should not rest on the hip joints. Straighten your spine but don't hyper-extend. Move your shoulders back, and take pressure off the spine in your neck by keeping your head aligned with the rest of the spine. How you handle stress at your workplace can make the difference between success and failure on the job. Your reaction and respond in a stressful situation can have an impact on the quality of your interaction with other people. The better you are at managing your own stress, the more you'll positively affect those around you and the less other people's stress will negatively affect you.
