People who suffer from stretch marks are always in search for the best removal treatment because these unattractive lines can affect one's self-esteem in quite a bad way. Different factors cause these marks such as puberty, bodybuilding, pregnancy and sudden weight gain. These factors tend to stretch the dermis, resulting to ugly skin scarring. At this day and age, there are a lot of stretch mark removal methods available in the market. One popular is the use of topical creams, which can be effective in reducing these marks while moisturizing the skin. However, topical creams do not have the ability to remove the marks and scars completely although it can help to rebuild the skin much faster than no treatment. Another stretch mark removal technique is the use of laser wherein a beam of light is used to eliminate the skin's thin layers. This procedure does not burn or cut the skin because it only utilizes ultraviolet light that disintegrates the skin. Laser treatment in removing stretch scars can be effective but it is quite expensive. The cost of the procedure and the number of treatment depend on the degree of the condition. There are also natural removal methods that can be used to reduce the appearance of the marks and scars. For instance, cocoa butter has been proven effective that especially works around the stomach, hips, buttocks and thighs. Massage cocoa butter on the affected area once in the morning and once in the evening. Moisturizers that contain vitamin E and vitamin A are also helpful in preventing stretch marks. These essential vitamins are part of the epidermal maintenance system that helps the body control and increase the growth rate of new skin cells.
