The disabled students allowance has proved to be very helpful to students facing all kind of challenges. It is additional financial support for the students to help them overcome their challenges of pursuing higher education and also working and it has helped lots of students. There is an eligibility criterion that is followed for the students to quality for the allowance through specific financing bodies.

Once it has been confirmed that the students quality, the funding body will them recommend the students for assessment. After the assessment, a report will be written as far as the needs are conce
ed and once you approve, it is then sent to the right funding body for the support you need as a student. A copy can also be sent to the higher learning institution that you are joining or is already a student in. Within a few days, the finding body writes back agreeing and confirming to offer the support as needed. Your assessment body could be responsible in or might offer to order any equipment that you need or give you the contact that you need with the best suppliers of the equipment that you need.

Apart from the equipment, they will offer support providers and advice you on any other issue that you could be facing at that time and also on an ongoing basis. The disabled students also get all the assistance they need with assistive technology hence they are put in a position to use the equipment they have acquired fully. The support services make the students more independent and they therefore easily excel in their learning and work.
