Sugar Cravings Be Gone… Not So Fast
Legacy signals

I have a confession to make. Not many people know this about me, but I am a data geek. There, I’ve said it. I’m a data geek.
Ahhhh, that felt good to get that out.
My primary focus with gathering and analyzing data has to do with food, health and nutrition and energy. Recently, I read survey results from a leading health expert that indicated her community has a very high interest in learning about overcoming low energy, poor sleep, chronic illness, and sugar cravings.
What I find interesting, is this is what most health experts discover about their communities. There is an overriding problem that our society deals with, low energy that is a direct result of poor sleep, chronic illness and sugar cravings.
Sugar Cravings Are Often the Culprit
At the core of everything are the sugar cravings. Eliminate those and you are more likely to sleep better, minimize chronic illness and have more energy.
Easier said than done. So, what can someone do to minimize, even eliminate, sugar cravings.
Some “experts” claim the only way to eliminate sugar cravings is to eliminate sugar altogether including natural sugars found in fresh and frozen fruits. They claim this type of diet will solve your problem forever. The problem is, this is not true.
Diets Abound
How many diets have you tried? Some diets are scientifically researched; some are just plain crazy! There’s the all-egg diet, the lemonade cleanse, the oatmeal diet, low fat, high fat, low carb, all carb, no sugar… the list of crazy diets is endless. We all want to know what the perfect diet is and what foods will help us have trim and healthy bodies.
The problem with this is these diets are cut from the mold of “one size fits all.” There just isn’t such a single diet that fills the bill… until now!
What? I just said there wasn’t a one size fits all in one breath. In the next breath I said there is one diet that fills the bill.
The Fingerprint Diet aka The Food Codes
Just as each person’s fingerprints are different, so are each person’s nutritional needs and solutions. You have your own unique health issues, and foods that are healing and health building for one person can cause another person great distress, such as pain, inflammation, bloating, weight problems, allergies, and even disease. Whether you are overweight, underweight, or lacking energy, your relationship with food is personal and unique to you.
The word diet is one of the most misused words in our language today. It is associated with restriction, starvation, dread, pain, and suffering, yet is what we think we must endure to be the thin, willowy figures society paints for us as pictures of happiness and fulfillment. It’s used like a swear word. The D-word conjures the dreadful act of self-depravation and stress that 108 millio
Americans attempt four or five times each year. The diet industry currently rakes in over $66 billion a year.
You’ve seen the success testimonies that accompany diet programs that have come down the pike. At the end of every TV diet commercial or magazine ad featuring a skinny model prancing around half naked in a bikini, is the tiny statement *Results Not Typical.
Release the Need to Release Sugar
Typical diet programs are based on restrictions – some that are just crazy and dangerous. They usually limit the dieter to tiny portions; restrict calories, carbohydrates, sugar, and/or fat; and regulate specific foods. It’s a mindset of all or nothing: When you are not dieting, you can eat all that you want; when you are on a diet, you can eat “nothing.”
This is where the term “yoyo dieting” comes from. You might go on a strict diet to lose weight for a wedding, a class reunion, or to look good in a swimsuit while on vacation and gain the weight back right afterward. You might get good results from a diet once but fail miserably the next time you try it. Why is that?
It goes back to the diets that claim elimination of specific foods for everyone is the only way to lose weight. In some cases, your body requires sugar. Granted, the closer to nature it was intended, the better. But this completely shatters the belief some people have that all sugars are bad. For some people, it may be true. For others, they actually need sugar.
My experience, background, education and consulting with hundreds of clients gives me a completely different perspective.
That perspective was the catalyst for creating The Food Codes method, writing the book by the same name and watching my clients get incredible results from tapping into what their bodies actually need, want and crave… in a good way.
In essence, The Food Codes is about tuning into your own rhythm. One of the primary tools we use is muscle testing. https://thefoodcodes.com/muscle-testing-taps-into-subconscious/
Muscle testing allows you to tap into your subconscious mind for guidance. No longer are you led by your belly, mind or feelings. It’s a completely different way of discovering your bodies nutritional needs.
In order to release the sugar cravings, you would be well served to release the thought that no sugar is the only way to go. When you muscle test, you may actually find your body definitely requires healthy sugars. When you discover this, it’s like a breath of fresh air to know it’s okay to eat certain type of foods that contain sugar.
The challenge will be in releasing old beliefs that do not work. Beliefs that we are a one size fits all society. We are not. You are not. And your diet shouldn’t be either.
