Some men choose to wear tank tops as a way of coping with warmer temperatures. However, these are not suitable for most situations other than relaxing in the house. These tops tend to resemble under shirts too much. Lightweight athletic shirts or sleeveless shirts worn under lightweight jackets are generally a better choice.

Another look that men should avoid in the summer is wearing too much jewellery, especially with shirts that feature very bright prints. Most fashion-conscious men feel that too much jewellery looks overly flashy. Since most summer looks are more minimalist, it is better to choose just a few pieces.

One thing that men should avoid, especially with summer weather being unpredictable, is going out with only a short-sleeved shirt without a jumper or jacket.
