Breakups are really tough, right? No matter what you do, you just can't forget about your ex. You tell yourself that you could have done something to stop the break up from happening. Right now, you're just feeling very confused about what happened and what you can do from here. Read on and find out how to get back together after a break up.

Put the No Contact Rule into Action

I'm sure you've at least heard about the No Contact Rule if you've done any amount of research online. Basically, you're keeping yourself from contacting your ex for about one month. Most people fear that the No Contact Rule won't work because it will be severing the last connection they have with their ex. But this simply isn't the case. This is one of those times when you have to go against your instincts to get what you want.

If you want to find out how to get back together after a break up, you need to be aware of what your ex wants. What your ex wants is some alone time where they can think about their life in peace.

Second, the No Contact rule ensures that you don't come off as someone desperate. Usually, a person's self-confidence is damaged by a breakup. When this happens, you'll look needy and not at all attractive. If you are so desperate and try to get back with your ex, they will only avoid you more, thus creating a vicious circle that will ultimately drive them out of your life for good.

Third, the No Contact Rule actually gives your ex the opportunity to realize life without you may not be all they bargained it would be. Your ex might start to miss you in their life if you suddenly stop showing up and you're not there for them at their beck and call.

Attracting your Ex Vs. Demanding Attention

Instead of demanding attention from your ex, you must attract it from them. If you keep contacting them, you are basically trying to force them to notice you. This will only make it worse for you. What you have to do is be the person your ex first fell in love with. Remember that you only wanted you ex during the beginning of the relationship but now you seem to need them in your life. This causes pressure on your ex. They feel responsible for your emotional well-being, which is a big turn-off.

Instead of needing your ex, try to shift your mindset and only "want" them. You can try improving on yourself to do this. In order to learn how to get back together after a break up, you must concentrate on yourself and by doing so, you will increase the chances of patching up the relationship. As you are doing this, you'll improve your self-confidence and self-esteem to the point that you naturally exude charisma and attract them back to you.

Focus on your life. What aspect of your life needs the most improvement? Maybe you need to get together with friends or lose a few pounds and get in shape? Maybe it's the perfect time that you can work on one of your goals. Either way, you are getting your ex back by attracting their attention again instead of merely demanding it.
