Sexually Transmitted Diseases. The only sure way to avoid contracting one is by practicing abstinence. And, there are a lot of STD's these days. So many, in fact, that there are ones that are considered Common STDs. Many people are responsible in their sexual activities, but many are not. Unless you're in a long term relationship, knowing your partner helps, but you'd also have to know your partner's previous partners. So we'll discuss what STD's are and how to treat them naturally.nnFirst at the top of the list, Chlamydia. This is a bacterial infection that is one of the most common of the common STDs. Chlamydia frequently goes undetected in both men and women because many who are infected never have any symptoms. To complicate matters even more, if symptoms do occur, it doesn't usually happen until 1 to 3 weeks after you've been exposed to the bacteria. Those who do develop symptoms associated with this disease may experience a discharge from the vagina or penis, pain or burning when urinating, pain during sexual intercourse, and lower abdominal pain. Pain may occur in the testicles, but it's uncommon. Chlamydia can be transmitted through any form of sex: vaginal, anal, and oral.nnNext on the list is Gonorrhea. Also a bacterial infection. Gonorrhea thrives in a warm, moist environment. In addition to the vagina, the bacteria can grow in the anus, mouth, and throat. It can even develop in the eyes. Symptoms could take a month to appear or as little as 1 to 10 days after exposure. Possible signs of this STD may include an abnormal discharge from the vagina or penis, frequent burning urination, pain during sexual intercourse, and painful and swollen testicles. Symptoms of gonorrhea are normally less severe for women than for men.nnGenital herpes is a highly contagious virus, known as herpes simplex virus (HSV). Many people can have genital herpes and never know it, since it often shows no visible signs. Or they may appear long after the person was first exposed as with other STDs. Generally, the first episode of symptoms is the most severe. The person may experience small red blisters in the genital and anal area, accompanied with pain and/or itching. The blisters eventually ooze or bleed and then form a scab before finally healing. It may be painful to urinate during an active flare-up. With the first episode, some people experience flu-like symptoms, as well. The entire healing process generally takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks. It's not uncommon for a person to have several episodes of symptoms follow in a year once they've experienced their first visible outbreak of genital herpes.nnGenital warts is also a virus caused STD, the human papillomavirus (HPV). It's another STD that has fast become very common in society today. Often going undetected; displaying no signs or symptoms. When symptoms are evident, they usually appear in the form of small bumps in and around the genital area. When the bumps are clustered, they're described as looking like cauliflower. They can be itchy and uncomfortable and can cause bleeding during intercourse. They can develop in the mouth and throat when oral sex is had with an infected partner. nnParticularly important in fighting the severity of symptoms of STDs is a healthy immune system. Keep yours boosted with a formula specially blended of natural herbs, including echinacea and goldenseal root, astragalus, cat's claw, and ginger root.nnTo soothe the inflammation associated with many STDs and help in repairing and strengthening the reproductive organs, trust a blend of herbs that includes water eryngo, slippery elm bark, burdock root and korean red gingseng Another natural formula for use with STD infections is a strong blend of ingredients including white oak bark, red raspberry leaf, bistort, cubeb, wild indigo, blackberry leaf, mullein, and black cohosh. Using these quality herbal supplements, while practicing safe and responsible sex, will help keep you as healthy as possible in these times.n
