Since removing or treating keloids isn’t an easy task, it is better to keep on watch for the symptoms of keloid formation, if there are any. If you take care of such a wound, which becomes worse only if not taken care of initially, you may find things returning to normal. However, if it is not the wound that is getting worse, then it could be a keloid that has started to form.

Once you find yourself with keloid symptoms, start looking for a remedy if the scar is appearing on a visible part of the body. If you seek medical help, you may be able to contain its growth and it may not look so unsightly at the end. Sometimes, a simple home remedy can work in a case and you won’t need a more established way of treating the scar.

The bottom line is, once you undergo an ornamental piercing procedure or if you receive a wound that is healing, keep a watchful eye on the developments at that site. You may be able to catch the culprit before it causes you any damage.
