Taj Mahal

Acclaimed for its undying beauty, Taj Mahal Agra is the most remarkable monument in India. It is the symbol of Mughal romance, built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Standing among the Seven Wonders of the World, this outstanding architecture boasts of its intricate design that attracts tourists from far and wide. The prime features of this exceptional piece of architecture lies in its intricate pierce work, incised painting, inlay detail, Herringbone pattern and Arch of Jali. Taj Mahal also registers itself in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site that recalls the glory of Mughals.

Fatehpur Sikri

This remarkable monument positions itself at a distance of 26 miles from the city. Fatehpur Sikri is among the must visit travel destinations in Agra. Constructed by Mughal Emperor Akbar, this majestic fort is popular for its constructions and decorations. Some of the well-known attractions of this spectacular fort are Diwan-E-Khas, Buland Darwaza, Diwan-E-Aam, Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid and the tomb of Saint Sheikh Salim Chishti.

Agra Fort

Agra travel is incomplete without visiting Agra Fort. Located on the bank of the river Yamuna, Agra Fort is a semi-circular fort. It is perhaps the most robustly constructed structure of the Mughals known for its various finely adorned buildings in Mughal architectural style. This majestic fort sprawled over a huge area of about 94 acres. It served as the residence of many Mughal Emperors such as Akbar, Humayun and Shah Jahan. The fort also houses as number of palatial constructions like Jahangir Palace, Khas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and Diwan-E-Khas.

Sikandra

Travel to Agra to visit Sikandra Tomb that belongs to the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. The tomb holds great significance among people. The architectural beauty of the tomb is an ideal combination of Hindu, IslÄmic, Christian, Buddhist & Jain styles. Its arched gateway and exquisitely carved tomb are its main features.

Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb

Various architectural monuments enhance Tourism in Agra. The credit of this highly ornate structure goes to Noor Jahan. Constructed by Noor Jahan for a relative, it marks an important exodus from the tombs of the Mughal dynasty constructed earlier. The tomb follows the central Asian style of domed structure, set up in a formal garden with waterways and paths, carved in a geometrical pattern.
