Tallwoods Stay and Play Golf

So why am I drawn to golf at Tallwoods Golf Resort in the Manning Valley? The eternal pursuit of that unattainable, yet momentarily achievable, perfect shot. The tribe. Other golfers know me – we share that connection that’s bigger than the game. It takes in the traditions and respect for the game. The exercise. It’s the best way that I've found to exercise. That par 71 golf course is demanding. The winding down. With each hole, Sydney melts away. Majestic eucalypts, extensive water features and spectacular views….it is simply a beautiful, time out in nature. Friends who understand my passion (obsession?) for the game! The competition. With yourself, with nature, with others. The Tallwoods pork and fennel sausage roll stolen after the 9th hole and a cold ale at the 19th! Can’t beat that. Watching the elite of the game, their focus on perfection. Learning more about the history of the game. Lucy’s chair. Hole 17. Rest stop. Twilight over Diamond Beach and breathtaking hinterland views. Worth a revisit with a bottle of Chandon! The deals. It’s true – the best business relationships are built on the fairways. Some call golf the purest game of all. I can believe it when you see a hole in one or have one of those moments yourself. It’s golf. It’s pure. It’s so, so addictive. When I head out of the city mire for my Tallwoods hit straight to the Tallwoods Verve Resort. They’re fully self-contained villas and very comfortable. I often refresh myself in the pool after my game and then head out to the scrumptious Poppies. It’s an a la carte restaurant in the club to partake in the most fabulous dining experience – equal to any you would experience in Sydney. No club food here – former Hunter Valley chef Chris Mallik produces award winning meals and the service is friendly and welcoming. It is always a joy to return. What more can I say - I’ll be back!!
