This is the ingredient that is responsible for turning the skin brown. It is a colorless sugar that interacts with the dead cells of the skin.

Sprays: Sunless tanning sprays are very popular today and are a method to achieve a sunless tan. This type of self tanner is easy to use and comes in an Aerosol tan. The can is held about six inches from the body and evenly applied. The formula has a tint to it, so the tanner is aware when they spray, which parts of the body they have sprayed.
