Obesity has become a serious problem in the Western World. The number of obese adults and children keeps growing and unfortunately despite the media advising to eat healthier we also get the other side of the media bombarding us with unhealthy food and drinks. Many people do not eat the amount of fruit and vegetables necessary and do not drink enough water. Therefore their health ends up suffering. Add to this the stress and feelings of frustration that people have when they are also inundated with the perfect figure image. So on one hand we get plenty of images of skinny people and on the other hand wherever we go we encounter the promotion of the unhealthy food. No wonder obesity and illnesses like diabetes and cholesterol are on the rise. As an answer to this we have the multi billion weight loss industry which has developed every different solution for this weight loss problem. There are so many of them that you do not know who to believe. You get the pills, natural supplements, shakes, exercise, gyms, spas, vegetarian, counting calories, not counting calories, eliminating carbohydrates, eating one meal a day or six meals a day, drinking water or not drinking water. I think there is as many theories and books as obese people. Most of these programs will try to cure or solve the problem without looking at the causes. It is like putting on a bandaid and hoping the problem will go away. It may go away for a while, but if the root cause is not addressed it will soon come back, meaning the person may lose weight but unless the real cause of overeating is found and addressed at one stage or another one the person will become overweight again. Here is where Emotional Freedom technique is different. EFT will instead look at the root causes of our weight gain and other health related problems. There are different reasons why we eat. If we only ate because we were hungry we would not gain weight. Many people eat for different reasons besides hunger. Many of us eat because we are bored, because we are avoiding doing something, because we are stressed, anxious, trying to hide behind our weight. That is when the weight gain occurs. In which way does Emotional Freedom technique or EFT differ from other weight loss strategies? EFT or tapping helps you eliminate cravings. We do eat also because of cravings and if it 80% f the times we avoid eating that thing we should not eat then we will lose weight/ EFT helps you reach peace in your life. If you are stressed for any reason, like work, family, relationships, you can calm down by tapping. When we feel calmer we will eat better/ Weight loss also happens when we burn more calories than what we consume. So by eating less and exercising more with the help of EFT you would lose weight and not regain it. People who have used EFT to gain control of their eating habits have found freedom in the ability to eat the foods they enjoy while maintaining or losing weight. They are free from eating and weight issues for the rest of their lives - and isn't that a great gift! If you ever tried any diet you probably know how difficult is to follow a restrictive diet. The worst part is that a restrictive diet is good whilst you are following it, but as soon as you stop you will gain the weight back. To really address the obesity or health problems you need to change from the inside out. These changes are the ones that last. When tapping for weight loss you will not only lose weight but also get other health issues under control. The bonus of Emotional Freedom technique is that is free to do, and that it does not have any side effects. In addition you can use it to take control of other bad habits or stressful situations you may be experiencing. Moreover EFT is easy to learn and quick to see results.
