The most productive part of any market segment is the students. They are the ones who tend to use most of the resources from food and drinks to travel services, bank services, movie tickets and just about everything. They are the ones who are out most of the time and the ones who need most of the items. Hence it makes sense for any business to invest in campus promotions & advertising.

If you watch the market trends you will find that most businesses target the student community with special offers, discounts and other attractive rebates. To avail these benefits all the student has to do is flash his or her id card. Some outlets may ask for printouts and other paper proof of the discount but there are numerous others who will offer the special rate without asking questions.

This is because every intelligent and smart business person recognizes the potential spending habit of the student and wants to cash in on the opportunity through the right type of campus promotions & advertising. Another issue is, even with the wish list running into numerous pages, the student has to make-do within a limited budget. By offering the special rates and rebates the retail outlets provide a chance for the student to get more in the same budget, thereby encouraging them to return to their shops again and again.

Another big advantage of campus promotions & advertising is awareness. With the same budget for advertising and marketing, you can reach out to more customers when you target the student community. The word of your business, your product and your offer spreads faster amongst students by word of mouth than any other age group. And with the new rage of social media marketing, attracting students is even easier. It is a known fact that students are the highest user of modern technology like mobiles, internet, computer and social media. Getting them to “follow” you on social media network like Facebook and Twitter will expose you to a bigger and better audience than any other type of advertising.

In fact there are numerous apps that allow campus promotions & advertising to be downloaded on the students’ mobiles. Thus there is never the chance of forgetting or missing out on any great offers or deals for the student. These apps will help them find a deal or discount in the area they are in at that moment, so they don’t need to wait for a specific day or time or go to a particular place to avail the discount. The students can get it when they want, where they want.
