It is the world's longest beach garden and it also has the largest harbor in Latin America. It is within an hour driving distance from São Paulo. Santos beach has shallow and calm water making it a good choice for kids. Facilities like shower rooms, thatched umbrellas, and lifeguards are available. You can often observe the dolphins and seals swimming in the ocean. Visitors are encouraged not to swim to a nearby island where seals often go as there has been reports of shark attacks around that area. 2. Praia da Pipa Praia da Pipa is a famous beach situated in Tibau do Sul, in Brazil. Pipa beach has a limited patch of sand and lots of rocks under the shallow water. You can hire a boat to spot some dolphins. It is best to visit Praia da Pipa on Monday - Fridays as it gets crowded in the weekend. The beach has many vendors, restaurants and upscale shops. It is situated next to a quaint fishing village that occupies the entire L-shape street. From the street, you can walk down the hill to reach the beach. It is a great place to carry out activities like kite surfing, surfing, snorkeling, and sand boarding. 3. Praia do Campeche Praia do Campeche is a long family friendly beach on the southeast side of Santa Catarina Island, Florianópolis, Brazil. The island has a lush rainforest and many archaeological sites that you can visit. It only takes about 5 minutes to cross from Florianópolis to Catarina Island. There are lots of budget restaurants, grocery stores and bakeries where you can buy food. The locals often come to Praia do Campeche to celebrate events like sports, new year eve, and kite surfing competitions. There is no beach clubs or other infrastructure which makes it a perfect place for relaxing. 4. Lopes Mendes Beach Lopes Mendes Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach with blue ocean in Angra Dos Reis, Brazil. There are some shallow points suitable for children. Surfers can go to the parts where there are some rough waves. There are lots of almond trees that provide good shades. There aren't many restaurants around but you will find vendors selling snacks and beverage along the beach. You can visit the Chapel of St. Benedict on the left side of the beach. You can reach Lopes Mendes Beach by taking a 45 minutes boat ride or hiking along a mini trek from the town. 5. Jericoacoara Beach Jericoacoara beach is a gray sand beach in Ceará, Brazil. Pedra Furada, also known as The Arched Rock is the prominent landmark at the beach. You can observe the sunset in the middle of The Arched Rock in between 15th June - 30th July every year. You will want to make sure that you bring your camera to take photo of the sunset. The majority of the beach becomes walkable during low tide. On high tide, you can hike along the Serrote hill which will take around 2 hours. There are windsurf centers nearby. At Jericoacoara beach, you can also carry out activities like kitsurfing, and horseback riding.
