In recent times the recruitment industry has undergone a sea-change because of the easy manner in which candidates can be recruited using online recruitment resources. Recruitment agencies have changed the recruitment scene dramatically. It is now possible to find the best candidates for the openings in your organization in a matter of hours, if you are in a tearing hurry. Employers can save a lot of time especially for their HR executives who otherwise have to manage the entire process entirely on their own with the available resources which were often very limited. This resulted in attracting candidates who were not really top drawer stuff. Recruitment agencies do everything right from creating the advertisements, choosing the right portals to place them, screening candidates according to the specific requirements of the job, short-listing the candidates in order of their merit and even conducting the preliminary level interviews to select the best candidates from the pool. Online recruitment is no longer the exclusive domain of the technologically savvy employer. The medium has been tried and trusted and has proven to be highly effective for small and large organizations in selecting the perfect candidates. Online recruiting has brought about a paradigm shift in the way companies hire in the modern age. The power of the internet is put to perfect use by these agencies to hunt down candidates from a wider geographical spectrum. Speed is another huge advantage that online recruitment offers. Companies love the way this medium saves them tremendous amount of time in selecting the candidates that are ideal for their job requirements. Things move like a breeze right from the process of inviting applications to the final interview. Fortunately, faster recruitment processes has not compromised on the quality of candidates but has in fact helped in targeting the best available in the category. It can be safely assumed that the cost of posting jobs and locating candidates on job portals can be up to 90 percent lower than doing the same using traditional methods. What’s more the exposure that online recruitment ads get is enormously more than that of a print advertisement. The chances of attracting the right candidate from a larger pool is enhanced considerably using online recruitment methods.
