The art of givingr
Do you know what the power of giving is? Do you realize that you have to learn how to give to be able to get? How the art of giving can benefit you?
One of the wealthiest people in Canada John had almost everything a person could ask for, however, he was not happy. Despite all the wealth, family, and friends John has in his life, he didn’t have peace of mind. Therefore, he went on a journey to find happiness.
When John’s friend Mike heard his story, he informed him that he lacked spirituality in his life, so Mike took his friend John to a place for the handicapped children. John who is wealthy and successful started to teach the children his thoughts, ideas, and how he achieved all the success in his life. Within 6 months, 4 of the children who couldn’t walk started to walk, which in return made John very happy and helped him achieve peace of mind.
All what John did was practice the art of giving by sharing his knowledge to those children, but in return, he changed their lives in a positive way for ever. Do you see what the power of giving does?

If your goal is to learn the art of giving, follow the quick guide below:
1. Give a smile
Around two years ago while I was at my old job, one of my colleagues asked me “Why do you always smile?” I said to her that when I smile at people, I help make people become at ease, lift up their moods and at the same time I attract harmonious relationships with others.
All I was doing giving a real and authentic smile, in return, I attract polite and friendly people and help others feel good.
2. Give kindness
In my book “How to win your lover’s heart” I mentioned that when couples get into arguments, usually each one tries to prove the other one wrong hence the problems escalate. If you learn to practice kindness, rather than being right, you will find that your relationship will improve dramatically.
Make giving kindness a habit of yours and you will see how the outer world will be kind to you in return.
3. Give money
One of my friends who make over $100,000 a year works 7 days a week. He gives what he makes on the weekend all to his family such as his uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other members of his family. When I asked him the reason he does this. He said that “the more he gives, the more money God will give him.” My friend realized what the power of giving is hence he applied it in his life.
This is a very true concept in life including money. As my friend Rob from mindadventure says every time you give out money, think of it as sowing. The more you sow, the more you get back.
4. Give knowledge
Giving others knowledge is one of the most powerful types of giving you can give. Whatever knowledge you have, learn to share it with others.
If you know how to sing, share that knowledge of how you can control your voice and breathe properly with others who are interested in singing. If you know how to help someone see the positive in situations instead of the negative, please do so. The more you start applying the art of giving in your life, the better it is for you and for the world.
Always remember what Winston S. Churchill said, “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
