An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer is a licensed person who carries out aircraft maintenance. Candidates of AME Training Institutes Approved by DGCA: Initially, training in the field of aircraft maintenance engineering is offered by DGCA recognized institutes. The curriculum, training, and facilities of these institutes are as per the standards stipulated by DGCA. Applicants from such institutes are permitted to appear in Paper I, II & III after satisfactorily completing the 3-year curriculums respectively. Admissions to these institutes are separate and there is no common process or counseling.
