Baseball is a kind of a bat-and-ball sport that is usually played between two teams, with each team having nine people each. The aim of the game is scoring runs, which is achieved through hitting a ball which is thrown using a bat. Then one is supposed to touch a group of four bases which are arranged at the corners of a diamond with dimensions of ninety feet. One of the teams, called the batting team usually takes turns to hit against the field team’s pitcher. The defensive team usually tries to stop the aggressive team by getting hitters out in a number of ways. According to the rules of the game, a player belonging to the batting team can decide to stop at any base and advance later through a hit of a teammate or any other acceptable way. During the course of the game, the teams are supposed to change from either fielding to bat or from batting to fielding when the number of the fielding team’s outs record there. Nine innings usually make a professional game. The team that has the highest number of games at the end of the game is declared as the winner of the game. The currently played popular baseball is an evolution of an earlier form kind of baseball which was played in England. This game had been brought into the country by people migrating from North America in the mid-eighteenth century. By the latter years of the nineteenth century, baseball was already recognized as a United States national sport.Since then, the game has earned popularity in various American states and extended to many other parts of the world. The game has a series of events that are tackled throughout the year with worldwide broadcast in baseball live television channels. In the United States, major league baseball teams are usually subdivided into two parts, coming up with the American league and the national League. These subdivisions have three divisions each, the central, the east and the west. Major league champions are found through the playoffs that make up the World Series. Each league has playoffs that are made of five teams. These five teams are made up of three teams from regular season winnings and two wild card teams. Regular baseball streaming in both local and international TV channels is done across the globe. In the countries such as Cuba and Japan, baseball is the leading team sport.
