The whole world is talking about interactive content to bring in the audiences, and it doesn't get more interactive than a quiz about a favorite topic. If you are still figuring out how to craft the perfect quiz, head over here to know more about the tips and tricks to create a quiz for your readers. But if you have already created that quiz, and if you are wondering how to use this awesome quizzie you have come to the right place!
When marketing quizzes, you should remember that this is one piece of digital media that does not feel like and doesn't need to be used as traditional marketing. When readers see a quiz, they don't normally assume that you are trying to promote your business. For once, the cynicism is suspended and curiosity takes over. And it is this 'suspension of cynicism' that you need to use to your advantage.
How to use quizzes for maximum rewardsr
Quizzes can help you bring back traffic to your main site where the rest of the sales funnel can then take over and convert leads into revenue. You can take a leaf out the marketing diaries of entrepreneurs who have used the idea successfully. Food52 - blog cum recipe hotline cum amateur-chef-forum cum online shop - ran their 'What cake are you?' quiz last year, and the popular quiz generated 10,000 new visits to the blog site via Facebook and Twitter. Foodpanda, the global online food delivery store used quizzes based on the football to increase revenues during the World Cup season earlier this year. And closer home, Disney India used quizzes on Twitter with the hash tag #DisneyQ to make quizmasters out of its followers and spread news of its Family Mastermind quiz.
Quizzes work. It's up to you to channel the benefits of a quizzie. As in the above xamples, you can use a quiz to either drive content to your site or to spread news of an upcoming product or service. The Food52 cake quiz for instance had embedded links that directed the user to check out a recipe at the blog; the Foopanda quiz drove you back to the home site where you could order food. Another way of using quizzies is to make it a medium for generating new leads. By presenting users with an opt-in just before the results are displayed, you can create a path for collecting new e-mail leads. A good example of this is the quiz created by Worth Global Style Network (WGSN), a fashion analytics company. The quiz, titled 'What's Your Customer Type?' demonstrates WGSN's solutions for their clients. But before you can see the results, you need to fill in your e-mail address. The company uses your id to send you more info on customer analytics, and to generally promote themselves. Or, you can use quizzes to gain valuable data from your customers that you can subsequently use for content curation and marketing.
