• 10th ICC Cricket World Cup 2011:
The 10th Cricket World Cup was held in India in 2011. Their emblem is a glamorous depiction of a cricket ball. The colors prominently used here are red, green and blue which represent the three best qualities of this event – color, movement and action. The round image shows a green pitch with crowd cheering on both sides.
• 19th Commonwealth Games - 2010:
The 19th Commonwealth sports were held in Delhi, Mumbai in 2010. It consists of a colorful image spiraling upwards which was inspired by the Indian National symbol – ‘Chakra’. This represents growth and development of India into a bright and vibrant nation. The prominent colors in the emblem are red, yellow, blue, purple and green. Red, yellow and blue are the traditional Commonwealth colors that represent trinity of values. Green color represents life, energy and high spirits since this was the first time the event was held in India. Purple represent mystery and excitement.
• 7th Asian Games 2011:
This famous event was held in Astana, Almaty and Kazakhstan in January 2011. Their emblem is a colorful asterisk with soft edges. The bright blue and purple color of the asterisk makes it attractive and brilliant. There is also an image of a small sun above the asterisk that gives it a touch of Asian culture.
• 21st Winter Olympic Games 2010:
The 21st Winter Olympics were held in Vancouver. The emblem is an interesting and colorful piece that consists of different shapes put together to look like a man. The monogram has a very interesting story. The name of the logo is “Ilanaaq”, named after the Northwest Territories Pavilion at Expo 86. This word means “friend” in Inuktitut. This emblem depicts the true essence of South Africa i.e. wilderness and energy. This is one of the most popular games logo.
