Menopause signifies the end of the menstrual period and it is a time during which the body undergoes rapid hormonal changes. Your libido levels sky rocket downwards, you get cold and hot bursts, fidgetyness and sudden temper become part of your persona. These menopause symptoms can stress you out and leave you with a feeling of depression. It is essential that you take action and by this we mean resorting to menopausal supplements and vitamins so as to once again bring the body’s hormonal levels under control.

These are some of the vitamin supplements that are recommended during menopause:

Vitamin E – The vitami
E levels plummet during menopause and hence supplements of these should be taken in order to restore the equilibrium state of the body. This supplement can help to reduce the occurrence of hot flashes and night sweats and moreover can help to control mood swings, symptoms frequently associated with menopause.

Calcium – Women find it difficult to sleep during menopause and their body’s calcium production also decreases post menopause. Calcium supplements help to counter this effect but these shouldn’t be taken in excess as it can harm the body.

Vitamin D – Deficiency of vitami
D can lead to osteoporosis. Combine these will calcium tablets to get the optimum results.
The other natural menopausal supplements recommended are:
Black Cohosh and Flaxseed – These can help to reduce hot flashes encountered during menopause and they also aid in regulating the hormonal levels in the body.

Red clover – Apart from increasing bone strength, this supplement also helps in reducing menopause symptoms.

Ginseng – It has been known to boost mood and improves sleep and in general improves the quality of one’s life.

DHEA supplements – The levels of the hormone DHEA drop down following the age of 30. DHEA supplements can help to bring back the hormonal levels to the desired optimum level.

These supplements have helped a great number of women to successfully overcome menopausal symptoms. However one other thing which needs to be remembered here is that taking the mentioned supplements alone won’t work. In order to achieve good results, one needs to combine these supplements with a healthy lifestyle. With a healthy lifestyle, we mean following a proper diet that is rich in vitamins and nutrients. You should also exercise regularly and try to follow a stress free life.

If all of these are merged together, you would be able to breeze past menopause without much problems.
