Candida infections have been around for centuries and for all that time symptoms of a yeast infection in women have been frustrating ladies to no end.

It can be extremely annoying and embarrassing to have a vaginal yeast infection with many ladies experiencing at least one in their lifetime.

Women have yeast infections from a multitude of many factors. Yeast infections can be so easy to get for one person and very rare for some, so if you have had only one or two, count yourself lucky. Extremely mild discharge and itching to a heavy discharge with a constant itching are the symptoms you have to endure.

Vaginal itching is the worst possible symptom to have to deal with for days at a time. It's embarrassing and can make your everyday life seem impossible.

There are products available to help relieve the itching, but most of the time only temporarily. You have to keep going to the bathroom to apply these creams that just mask the problem, who really wants to do that?

On top of which a thick white vaginal discharge, the classic symptom of a yeast infection in women. As if things weren't bad enough with the itching.

Unfortunately, you cannot wash this stuff away. This is the candida overgrowth showing itself. What we need to do now is find the best way to eliminate all the harmful candida bacteria and replenish your body with the "good" bacteria.
There are many different ways to replenish your body with good flora. But it could take some work to achieve. Get some non-sweetened yogurt and apply it vaginally every day or just eat it. We are trying to replace your good bacteria here and this is an excellent way to start.

Another helpful method is to take probiotics. Vaginal burning and swelling is another symptom you may have to deal with. This usually comes with the itching. The burning is normally caused by scratching yourself, and it can burn when you urinate. The inner walls of your vagina can become raw and irritated due to the inflammation caused by the yeast overgrowth.

These three symptoms, itching, discharge, and burning are the main ones associated with a yeast infection. If you are experiencing these symptoms, it is likely you have one. You need to keep in mind that curing your symptoms of a yeast infection in women is completely different from just temporarily masking them.

If you have a strong immune system, you should not have a problem clearing the infection up. However you may have to work a little harder if your immune system is compromised or weakened for any reason.

Curing a yeast infection can be as simple as taking the steps to understand it, and then doing what is necessary to eliminate the problem. It doesn't take long for a yeast infection to get out of control and it can take over your body very rapidly if left unchecked. A simple infection can become much worse if ignored and the candida is left to multiply out of control.
