The Big Cricket Ride

Chris and David Adams are taking part in the Big Cricket Ride where they will cycle to every 1st class cricket ground to help beat Leukaemia and Lymphoma. KIA Motors will be supporting them throughout the event. KIA currently sponsor the Surrey County Cricket Club as well as the KIA Oval. The Korean car company will be providing two new Kia Sportage models to the brothers as support vehicles for the 868 mile challenge, visiting 18 grounds in 15 days in October. Chris and David - both nicknamed Grizzly - will start the Big Cricket Ride at Durham County Cricket Club and finish at the Kia Oval, with celebrities, sponsors and cricketers being invited to join them throughout the tour to help raise awareness. KIA Trowbridge will be one of the locations visited by the two. The Big Cricket Ride event is taking place to raise money in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Chris and David's father John, was sadly diagnosed with Peripheral T Cell lymphoma attached to the liver last year and is currently undergoing treatment. Peripheral T cell lymphomas are a group of rare and aggressive lymphomas that affect the T-cells found in the peripheral circulating blood. Simon Hetherington, Dealer Development Director, says: "We are delighted to be able to support Chris and David on the Big Cricket Ride. Its a fantastic project for a great charity. Providing the new Kia Sportage as support vehicles is a practical way for us to support their efforts, and at the same time extend our involvement with cricket beyond the Kia Oval."
