The Chocolate Cake Recipe: Steps I had to follow to make the ultimate chocolate cake

I was always looking forward for the day that I would make my own cakes without having to go to the shops. All my friends were doing that and I had to also train myself and learn from them. Fortunately, I obtained lots of cake recipes from sources such as the internet, cake magazines and friends who dictated what I should do. However, the chocolate cake recipe stole my glance and I decided to make chocolate desserts. As I looked for more information about chocolate cakes, I came across numerous varieties of recipes but I had to choose one. I chose the easiest one that was understandable, used some simple terms and it was easy for me to get all the ingredients. This was the chocolate cake recipe I used: Ingredients 1 cup of milkrn2 teaspoons of vanilla extractrn1 teaspoon of saltrn2 cups of sugarrn2 eggsrn½ a cup of vegetable oilrn1-1/2 teaspoon of baking powderrn1-3/4 cups of all-purpose flourrn¾ cup of Hershey’s cocoa rn1-1/2 teaspoon of baking sodarn1 cup of boiling water Procedure First, I had to ensure that I had all the ingredients by cross-checking all before I started with the procedure. I took two nine-inch baking pans that were round shaped and greased them up and lined them with flour. I later took all the dry ingredients such as cocoa, flour, sugar, baking soda and salt and combined them well in a big container. I also took the wet ingredients such as eggs, vanilla extract, milk and vegetable oil and combined all of them in a different big container. I had to beat all of these ingredients together with the mixer for about two minutes and I had placed it at a medium speed. I added boiling water to the mix to get a thin batter texture. In the baking pans that I had prepared before, I poured the mixture and placed it in the oven for a period of about ½ an hour. Before getting it out of the oven, I used a toothpick, inserted it and removed it and since it was clean, the chocolate cake was ready. However, I had to wait for about ten minutes before getting it out of the pans. I placed it in a cool place and after it had cooled, I started applying the frosting. Ten to twelve servings is perfect for the cake and I was impressed with this cake recipe. A quick recipe to make the frosting: Ingredients 1/3 cup of milkrn1 teaspoon of vanilla extractrn3 cups of powdered sugarrn2/3 cup of Hershey’s cocoarn1 stick or ½ cup of margarine or butter Procedure I took the margarine, melted it and mixed it with the cocoa. I then added milk and the powdered sugar into this mix. According to my recipe, I added extra milk and also the vanilla extract and I came up with my elegant frosting for the chocolate cake. This was a very good chocolate cake recipe that was quite easy to follow.
