The orientation period is the best time for training new employees. This will give them an ample time to ask questions that may arise. An employer may use handouts, video recordings or even online seminars for training purposes. The materials usually cover all the areas that are relevant to your job description and should therefore be taken very seriously. On the part of the employee receiving training, attention during the whole period is very important. When you pay attention, you will actually be able to work efficiently without harming yourself or even the people around you thus making yourself more of an asset than a liability. A test is necessary after any given training to ensure that the topics covered were understood.
