It is hard to believe that just a few years ago most TVs didn't even have color. This is just a small example of how we used to live compared to our lifestyle in the 21st century. Not only has technology advanced faster than anybody would've thought, we as consumers have managed to find ways to use it to our advantage. This brings me to ask myself the following question: Did technology improve our lives, or did it complicate our lives/make things worse? As an everyday user of multiple electronic devices, I definitely think technology has improved our life and changed things for the better. Looking back at the time when my parents were my age, a simple visit to the doctor as we know it today was a completely different experience for them. Nowadays, if you feel sick and go see a doctor, he will tell you exactly what is wrong with you and the treatment you will need to follow to get better. We have all kind of electronic devices that helps a modern day doctor to be more efficient and better prepared for the multiple challenges they might face on a daily basis. I can't say that my parents had that kind of luxury when they were younger. Technology seems to advance faster and faster and while it may seem scary to others, this is a movement that we should all support. With this rapid advancement of technology, not only does it make our life easier, but it also opens doors to the research and development department as well as builds millions of jobs yearly.rnSome people say that we have become dependent on our electronic devices such as our cell phones, computers, MP3s, etc. Personally, I have to agree that technology has become a huge part of our lives and it would be very difficult for us to live without it. As a college student, I must say without a laptop and a cell phone, I would face difficulties in keeping up with our tasks. What really shocked me is the fact that the whole college database is stored online meaning if we have an assignment to give to our teacher, the only way to send it would be over the Internet. Most of the transactions, whether it is payments or documents, are no longer processed by humans but by machines as they are more efficient.rnAs technology moves forward, we’re slowly headed into a machine ran society. By looking around us, we can see multiple jobs that were replaced by machines. A quick example would be secretaries: there used to be a person take took messages for the boss. Nowadays, we have such thing as an answering machine that simply records our message and stores it until the person sees it. rnWe are headed into a Human vs Machine world and it’s getting pretty scary. The more time advances, fewer manual work we have to do. Looking 10 years ahead, I’m hoping humans will still exist…rnFor more information, check out www.ecompareereaders.net

The Silent Shift: How the Cloud is Redefining the Heart of Business Operations Imagine a bustling call center from the early 2000s. The scene is one of tangible infrastructure: towering server racks humming in locked rooms, miles of network cables snaking under raised floors, and a palpable tension whenever a software update loomed.
