It’s hard to stick to diet plans when there are a lot of fast foods yummier than what you’re eating. Admit it, it is difficult to let go of the cholesterol rich foods that we see on McDonalds, KFC, Burger King and etc. They are all tempting. While others are trying to live up with their resolutions on pursuing a healthy lifestyle, some people prefer to indulge on eating fast foods since they are better and tastier alternative foods for on the go individuals.
In fact, some nutritionist in nurse uniforms cannot resist the temptation of fast foods offers since they get to enjoy most when eating these sumptuous foods. There is nothing wrong in it as long as you still feed your body with healthy foods. In fact, not all fast foods are unhealthy. There are some of them that still qualify as nutritious goodies. Let us start with different fast food chains.
• KFCrnKFC Mashed Potato w/ Gravy. It has 120 calories, 4.5g fat 1g saturated fat. Fact: KFC still use milk and butter for this food. Mashed is better than fried.
KFC Potato Salad. Calories: 180 cal, 9g fat, 1.5g saturated fat. This salad has tasty ingredients like onions, mayo, and bell peppers. It is a fat free alternative to other foods such as Potato Wedges.
KFC Cole Slaw. It has 190 calories, 11g fat and 2g sat fat. This food contains two main ingredients: Cabbage which is a good source of fiber and Vitamin C while Carrots are also bombarded with Vitamins A, K and C and potassium.
• McDonalds
McDonald’s Hamburger. One of the most popular foods in McDonalds contains 260 calories, 9g fat and 3.5 saturated fat making it a diet friendly food in the sandwiches business. It will be more nutritious if you pair it up with side salad drizzled and a bottle of water.
McDonald McChicken. It has 300 calories, 12g fat, 4.5 saturated fat. It has lesser calories compare to the full 500-calorie Sausage Biscuit with Egg.
• Taco Bell
Taco Bell Style Crunchy Taco. Contains 150 calories, 7g fat, 2.5 saturated fat. This tasty taco menu gives a whole packed of fresh salsa that contains cancer-fighting lycopene. If you want to stick on healthy dishes, pair it up with filling side such as rice and beans to feed your hungry stomach and making it last for a few hours.
Taco Bell Gordita Nacho Cheese Chicken. It has 270 calories, 10g fat, 2.5 saturated fat. This is for those who don’t want to eat more calorie-rich foods.
• Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut 12’ Veggie Lover’s Hand-Tossed Pizza. In every slice contains 220 calories, 6g fat and 3g saturated fat. One slice is definitely satisfying enough for a hungry stomach as long as it has a thick crust and covered with lots of cheese.
• Wendy’s
Wendy’s Jr. Hamburger. When you order this food, you’ll get 280 calories, 9g fat, and 3.5 saturated fat. This is low calorie compare to McDonald’s burgers which make it qualify as one of the healthy fast food from Wendy’s.
These are just a few lists. In fact, there are still many fast foods that can be considered as healthy. If you knew how to balance calories, the vitamins and everything, trying fast food stuffs will not break your diet plans. So, enjoy the meal without feeling guilty.
