Step 1: What Do You Want In Your Ideal Partner?

It is the most important question you and every other reader should be asking. If you don't know what you want you are not going to get it, it's that simple. Being with the wrong partner is the number one reason why, relationships fail.

Most people do not have a clue what they want. So they are easily influenced by media stereotypes to determine their choice of partner. Hence women want the bad man, the trouble maker. Men want the sexy blonde. Both images are artificial.

An example. I met a couple while working my taxi shift a few years ago. They were as happy as can be. Why? They had just got married that's why. However within a year they had split up. I gave a lift to the man one evening from his work place.

Me. “How you doing?”
Joe. “OK.. You?”
Me. “Fine. How's Sharon?”
Joe. “Don't know. Don't care!”
Me. “Don't care?? I gave you guys a lift a year ago and you both were on top of the world.”
Joe. “We're divorced.”
Me. “Oh, I'm sorry. What happened?”
Joe. “I decided that I wanted kids.”
Me. “Yea, and what's wrong with that?”
Joe “She decided she did not want any. So we split up.”
Me. “Right….Right.”

Now if the two of them had both spelled out what they wanted from the relationship BEFORE they got married they would have found out that they were not compatible with each other.

This reminds me of a very similar situation betwee
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. Brad, forty one at the time, extremely rich and was ready for children. Jennifer on the other hand was far from ready. Her focus was on obtaining...an Oscar. Nothing wrong with that. It was her choice. But couldn't they have found this all out BEFORE they tied the knot?
Ok. So you see why knowing what you want in advance before you meet your ideal partner is so important.
Now get yourself a note book. Write the heading; What Do I Want In My Ideal Partner?
There are two parts to this;
1.Physical Type
2.Habits
I did not think physical type were important traits a woman looked for in a man. I was wrong. An incident made me consider otherwise.
