The law of attraction is the universal belief that “like attracts like”. In general terms, this is a relatively easy concept to grasp. At its root, most people do understand that if you think positive thoughts, then you will attract positive things to you in life. Of course, the inverse to that is true too; negative thinking will bring negative things to you. The trick to get the law of attraction to work though is to ensure that you are using the correct language to define what you are trying to attract. Positive thoughts, phrased in the wrong way, will still attract negative aspects according to the law of attraction. Most people want more money out of life. Using this basic want, you can create thoughts that will either help or hinder you, even if when you don’t realize it. The most common way that people would try to change this would be to say “I don’t have enough money”. This may be true, and by saying it, you are already on the way to attracting more, right? Wrong. If you tell yourself that you don’t have enough money, and keep saying that to yourself, then you will start to believe it. That means that no matter how much money you have, you have now trained yourself to believe “I don’t have enough money”. Because that is what you believe, that is what you will attract. By simply changing the words, you are able to have the law of attraction work for you. “I am earning my share of money” or “Every day, I earn more money” are both thought patterns that will help you attract what you are looking for. Another way that actual language affects how the law of attraction works is the use of time. If you train yourself to think that what you are trying to achieve is happening now, or has already happened, then you are able to attract it to yourself in that way. “I am achieving my goals” is a great way to think of this. This is a strong statement that clearly puts your mind into thinking exactly how you will be successful. A similar statement, that won’t work as well, is “I will achieve my goals”. Because you are training yourself to believe that you “will” achieve your goals, then no matter where you are in life, you have yet to achieve your goals. This single, simple time distinction will make the difference in how the law of attraction will work for you. There are many ways that specific examples of language can and will affect how the law of attraction will affect each of us. These are the two most commonly misunderstood concepts. Sometimes, even with the best of intentions, it is easy to not train our though patterns into believing the way that will be successful. Not keeping things in the positive will only lead to attraction of the negative. Without being careful of your sense of time, you may find that you have set yourself up to never achieve your goals. Carefully considering these two simple linguistic tips will help anyone set themselves up to use the law of attraction to the best results.
