Hello friends,

I get asked this all the time “Why do I have recurring bacterial vaginosis?” You see most of us notice a problem, go to the doctor, have a quick diagnosis by the doctor, get prescribed an antibiotic, clear up your symptoms for a short time and bang get another infection. Welcome to the recurring bacterial vaginosis club, you’re not the only member by the way many women suffer needlessly.

I used to think that if you cleared up the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis it should be gone. It was nothing like a recurring yeast infection.

Actually the same antibiotics that are curing the symptoms are causing you to get another infection. That is the number one reason for both recurring bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections.

Let me explain, antibiotics are great at what they are designed to do, kill bacteria. However their not picky about which kind of bacteria, which means they end up killing both “good” and “bad” bacteria in the vagina. This is great for the immediate clearing up of your symptoms but with no “good” bacteria left to fight off an infection it’s just a matter of time before you have recurring bacterial vaginosis.

I fought the same thing for years until I discovered the trick here is to cure this naturally without antibiotics. It’s not as hard as you might think just find a good program and follow it.

Now there are other reasons for recurring bacterial vaginosis but the use of antibiotics is by far the leading reason.

Smoking, new intercourse partners, perfumed soaps and douching are just a few of the things that could be causing you a problem. There is a delicate balance between the "good" bacteria and "bad" bacteria that are naturally in your body anything that upsets that balance can cause you an infection.

Another problem could be your immune system may be weakened for some reason. Having the proper balance of “good” bacteria and a healthy immune system is the best way to insure you will not suffer from recurring bacterial vaginosis.

Bacterial vaginosis is very common with an estimated 29% of all women suffering from this at some point in their lives. Some women have tried to cure it their selves with over the counter treatments for a yeast infection. This is another very common mistake I hear of.

A candida infection and bacterial vaginosis may mimic each other in symptoms but are treated totally different. So a candida infection treatment may reduce your symptoms of bacterial vaginosis for a short period but will ultimately make it worse. Behind using antibiotics this is probably the number two cause of a recurring bacterial vaginosis. However it's not really recurring it just has never has been cured.

Bacterial vaginosis can cause many problems for you, other than the embarrassing odor and yellowish discharge, so I recommend getting this taken care of immediately. Having bacterial vaginosis can increase a women’s susceptibility of contracting HIV and other STD’s and make it easier for her to spread these infections. Also if you are pregnant, bacterial vaginosis has been known to cause complications even preterm delivery.
