The Levant Foundation: Studying the Birth of Religion

As you may know, The Levant Foundation is a non-profit and privately owned organization that is committed to providing the advancement of knowledge in regards to the Middle Eastern Culture as well as its history. Also, they are dedicated to further research and study the complexity of the interrelations between the monotheistic religions that have started in the Middle East. These religions are Christianity, Judaism and Islam. As they are functioning in a diversified society, this foundation has been devoting their time and efforts to cooperate with universities, religious & research institutions and even with fine art institutions so that they would receive sponsors and be able to fund the academic, artistic and educational programs that they are planning about. Up until now, The Levant Foundation makes it a habit to fund and sponsor numerous programs that emphasizes on topic matters which will contribute to the enrichment intellectually and forward the multi cultural perception. What happens is, once the program has been funded they will provide recipients with grant so that they can ensure that the funds that they have provided will be very sure to meet the aimed objectives and with that, the institutions and projects involved will be on a win-win situation. According to them, their initiatives are to see a renewal of world equilibrium and relations internationally. They will generate a climate which is perfect for a wider effect of democracy and for that to happen, they will promote dialogue. Another part of their goal is to bring the individuals who are vulnerable and marginalized right back to the conventional realm of humanity. To make it shorter, they are a foundation that strives towards the restoration of faith and reason for mankind. The Levant Foundation was the reason why the Swiss based interreligious and Intercultural research and Dialogue or FIIRD in the year 1999 was launched as they have helped the FIIRD. The foundation’s board of trustees includes the reputable his Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal of the Hashemite Kingdom that exists in Jordan, His Excellency Archbishop Michael Fitzgerald, His Eminence Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, Apostolic Nuncio in Egypt, Chief Rabbi Rene-Samuel Sirat, the former Chief Rabbi of France, His Eminence Emmanuel Adamakis, Mr. Sayyed Jawad Al-Khoei of the Al-Khoei Foundation, Metropolitan of France, Liaison office of the Orthodox Church up to the European union, Member of the Grand Conseil de la Republique, Maitre Michel halperin, Lawyer, His Eminence Professor Damaskinos Papandreou, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI and many more.
