Established by Jamal Daniel and Rania Daniel in 1999 at Houston, Texas the Levant Foundation is a private but nonprofit organization with commitment to spread awareness and further knowledge about the Middle Eastern religious culture and history. In an attempt to better, understand the religious culture of Middle Eastern countries this foundation has chosen Judaism, Christianity and Islam as their core religions as they truly understand most vicious wars in the past have stemmed from religions. Although all these three religions have their basic differences it is more surprising to note the similarities intrigued in preaching of each religion when one finally understands them. At the end, each of these monotheistic Middle Eastern religions ends up advocating the same core values in different manner. The fundamental values of seeking god in everything, honoring life, no harm incurred to any other person and eternal belief in one god has brought them closer in sacred form of holistic approach each individual religion has acquired. Formation of Foundation for Interreligious and Intercultural Religious Dialogue (FIIRD) in 1999 was initiated only for the understanding the approach of Judaism, Christianity and Islam in peaceful manner. Some out of the way approach initiated by The Levant Foundation is mere an attempt to erase all the obnoxious thoughts about different religions and create a single culture and religion of humanism. The funds and sponsorship provided by the foundation to start different projects and programs for initiating the peace approaches in modern society and using education and students as means of new community to establish peace and let the western countries know about the ethical values possessed by the idle Eastern Countries when they are practicing different religions. Every attempt to narrow down the differences between different religions is a welcoming gesture by The Levant Foundation and they incorporate different methods to incorporate and fund such attempts. They have funded not only businesses, schools or universities but they also have funded libraries, newspapers and music groups helping them to spread awareness about the sacred ties of different cultures and religions. Twenty percent share acquisition of noteworthy newspaper As-Safir or funding to the George Bush Presidential library at Texas and A & M University is only due to the meaning they have found in establishing a certain way to spread a word about their cause. Recently The Levant Foundation has also donated a hefty sum of money to Awty International Private School in Houston, considered as the second largest international school in the US. The reason for bringing peace and understanding between Middle Eastern countries and Western Countries seems to be working as they are funding and establishing relationships with businesses, institutions and universities.
