Whether it is a wholesale counter or a retail kiosk, it is extremely important to follow certain behavioral protocols. This is a well-known truth that only a person with a smiling face should open a shop.
rnMaintaining a proper and polite mannerism is the prime requirement for any kind of business that required customer interaction. So herein below, we would discuss about some of the mistakes that people should avoid at the electrical wholesale counter:

Keep a strict eye on de-cluttering the counter, as too small and cluttered ones would surely put off customers. Generally it is seen that after the office space is decorated with the flat screens, display products and added promotional leaflets, there remains very little space for customers to move around in the outlet. This is especially seen in the case of wholesale stores as they stock more products in comparison to other retail outlets. It is important to keep some empty space around the store as everyone wants to have their own space and doesn’t want to discuss prices, account queries or give order numbers indicating where they are working.
Try not to send the newest and least experienced member of staff to serve customers first. You would often see that there is a trend to send forward the new staff member to attend the customer while almost all of the experienced members would either be busy on the phone or would be immersed in quotes. Now the problem is that here the newest member with very little knowledge and experience becomes the image and face of the company. This may be extremely harmful as he may not have adequate skill set to handle the customer, especially if the customer is arrogant, rude or highly knowledgeable. This may lead to a more adverse situation if the new staff picks the wrong item from the stock to bill to the customer causing inventory issues further down the line.
Don’t give unimportance to the supplier’s representative when he is in your store for a meeting. The suppliers' representatives play a significant role in any business. But they are not treated in such way in actuality. Though they fixes an appointment about their visit, but often the appointments are overlooked and the delegate for the meeting just pops up at any time. There can be several important reasons for his visit, it can be a promotional offer giving some extra percentage in the running month, maybe he wants to offer some product training to the staffs and/or offer a point of sale display board at no cost. So remember not to ignore the visit of the supplier’s representative, does treat them well and build proper relationship and rapport as they are great resources.
So if you are an electrical wholesaler or is planning to set up an outlet for the same, make sure you follow these extremely important points to keep your customers happy and the business running well.
