The layout of the website is vital, as many users will leave a website that doesn't appeal to them before they ever have the chance to see what the website is all about. Having an attractive web design is vital in keeping visitors to your website on your pages long enough to navigate around and see what you have to offer.
• Another vital part of your website's appeal is the ease with which users can navigate your site. If you have hundreds of products on sale or promotion on your website, you need to have a way for visitors to easily find those products. If you can keep the number of pages you have on your site to a minimum, you can ensure that visitors are easily able to navigate around your site. Pages that users have a hard time navigation through often find that their visitors tend to leave after purchasing only one item, or without purchasing anything at all.
• The keyword that you select for your website is a vital part of attracting traffic, and you need to ensure that your keywords accurately reflect what exactly your website is all about. If you are a health food website, using the keyword "get rich quick" will simply result in your website being banned. Use a keyword that describes your website in between 1 and 4 words.
• Make sure to place your keyword in as many places as possible around your website in order to increase your SEO rankings. The more you can place your keyword naturally on your website, the higher Google will rank your site and the more traffic you are likely to receive. Be wary of posting it too many times, as Google will simply report it as spam and your website will end up being banned.
• Avoid using Flash animations and objects, as Google cannot read the code used to create them, and will simply treat that code as spam or useless content.
• Always place CSS, JavaScript, and PHP code in exte
al files, as these languages use repeat instructions to design websites that Google may see as repetitive content.
