The Need of Counselors in School

We think childhood days are the best days in a human being’s life. Though, to some extent it is true because they are free from all the worries of the world. However, a very few of us understand that even they experience depression as well. Now, we will wonder why they are depressed when they have nothing to think about so deeply. Even they have many tensions in their heads and the world is becoming competitive every day. The criteria requires for the admission in colleges says that even 80% marks is less. The children of the present period are less in sports and more into books. The reason is nothing but competition. They get their kids admitted in the best schools of the city and leave the job of taking care of the studies of their kids on the school’s faculty. As a result, in many cases it has been found that students commit suicide when they fail to fetch skyscraping marks. Those who fail in their attempts to commit suicide become the patients of depression.

Parents often expect too much from their kids but give very lees time to them in return. Children’s’ world starts and ends in their parents. They find it relaxing to share their opinions as well as other issues with their parents only for the reason that they feel it is their parents who can realize them well. And, their feeling is somewhat true. But working parents remain so tied up with their busy schedule of the entire day that in the evening when they come back home, they do not remain in a state to listen to their kids’ problems. There are other issues also related with the kids that they are extremely sensitive and sentimental. The issue of being sentimental is found among the teenagers maximum. Because of the hormonal changes they get depressed even for small issues.

The only thing that can help the kids in such circumstances is a counselor. Only a counselor can help them to solve their problems at that point of time. Focusing on such issues, schools appoint counselors now. It helps both parents and the teachers and of course the kids mainly. The counselors in schools can directly communicate both with the parents and the teachers regarding the changes in behaviors of the kid. Kids also find it easier to talk to those counselors because they do not have to visit anywhere else and they are familiar with the environment of the school. It also saves a lot of money of the parents when the counselors are in School.

But, as children open up the most with their parents only so, parents also give at least an hour in the whole day to their kids. It gives a feeling of care to the children. They find themselves secured; no matter they are gaining something or losing everything in the path of success. Parents also should not depend too much on the counselors as no one else in the world can understand their children in a better way than them.
