The Need Of Mother’s Love For A Child

“The birth of a child gives birth to a mother”- we often don’t think of this matter seriously, but it is true that only after a child’s birth, the concept of ‘mother’ comes into way of life. The woman exists, but not the mother; a mother is absolutely new. The first word a baby learns to say is ‘mother’; it is in this word that the baby sees its existence. With growth, the child does learn to create a separate world of his own, but the umbilical cord that still connects the two lingers, grows stronger and sometime stretches to no end.

The mother is considered to be the entity of kind admiration in Indian Culture. A mother, particularly the woman, is a homemaker, the first educator of her kids, the person who with full care and love passes on the culture of the ancient land to its inheritors in their most determining years. In India, mother is visualized as powerful, compassionate human being, who is full of love and grace. Children always have certain days especially reserved for them from their mother. This makes them feel special and strengthen the bonding between the child and the mother.

When mothers express emotions and feelings towards their children, then their children will have emotional attachment with the mothers. While talking about any significant thing that concerns your kid just involves the youngster in that discussion, so that together any kind of issue can be solved. This kind of discussions helps to make the child self-assured and learn a proper way of communication. It is a fact that kids are more attached to their mother because they spend most of their time with their mother only and in return they also get emotional support from. As consequences, a child is closer to their mother than to the fathers. However, that also does not mean that fathers do not care for their kids. In fact, a father is very proud of his child and their child is also proud of their father.

Fathers may not always disclose their feelings but they take it upon themselves to be shielding and conscientious over their kids’ future by providing them with monetary support and sending them to schools. Child sees the whole universe in the mother. In fact in nurturing a child, a mother plays the key role. Studies in bonding and attachment theory have shown that a child’s emotional and mental well-being is inexorably tied up with continuous, sustained, stable physical and emotional contact between mother and child.

Children first copy their mother and learn everything from their mother. In a way, a mother unintentionally becomes the first teacher of her kids. For kids, their mother is their role model because right from uttering the first word to acting in response to others, they learn all these from their mother. She becomes the instance of social behavior that the kid observes and learns to mimic. In fact even in today’s globalised world, the role of mother has been stressed and thus the schools are also organizing regular parent-teacher meets so they holistic growth of the children can be ensured.
