BMW’s 1 Series model has been successful for the German car company, a new model has been released with further improvements and enhancements. BMW has added new state of the art engine and suspension technology which have resulted in reduced fuel consumption, increased space and a range of new features and equipment. The new BMW 1 Series is the first of the BMW models to feature the new BMW Lines, which provides a range of personalisation possibilities including equipment options, interior colour schemes and materials and exterior equipment. Enhancements have been made to existing systems and technologies to provide a better balance between sportiness and driving comfort and driver assistance systems normally associated with high segment cars. The new 1 Series, like the BMW 3 Series in Scotland comes as standard with BMW EfficientDynamics technologies including Brake Energy Regeneration and electromechanical servo-assisted steering plus, depending on the model, an Optimum Shift Indicator, a self-disconnecting air-conditioning compressor and tyres with reduced rolling resistance. Automatic Start/Stop features in both manual and automatic transmissions. BMW also offers the new 1 Series with an eight speed automatic transmission; the 1 Series is the only car in the segment to offer this. As standard the BMW comes with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), ABS (anti-lock braking system), DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), CBC (Cornering Brake Control) and DBC (Dynamic Braking Control) are braking assistance, fading compensation, brake drying, hill assist, and, an electronic rear axle differential locking system - when in DSC Off mode. Additional optional extras available include the BMW ConnectedDrive programme include Adaptive Headlights. As well as a rain sensor with automatic driving lights, high-beam assistance, Park Distance Control, rear view camera, Park Assistant, cruise control with braking function, Lane Departure Warning with Collision Warning, and Speed Limit Info.
