Every day business is usually done by appointments and the preferred way to do so is via telephone calls. However, as the behavior of consumers’ change, businesses that require appointments should adapt as well. For the past 15 years, the Internet and cell phones greatly changed how consumers interact with providers. They have become pervasive technologies in business today. With the mobile Internet marketing becoming a commonplace, the combination of Internet, cell phones and applications such as online appointment scheduling will usher in the next frontier for computing. Instead of waiting for clients to walk in the door, these technologies allow appointment-based businesses to be proactive in marketing their businesses to new clients while managing their existing clients and staff effectively. The results will be a business that is effectively managed, more profitable and with higher customer retention and loyalty. All of which are elements of a successful business.
