Traditional phones not only confuses and stresses you out, often times it burns your budget with outrageously high rates and calling plans, just imagine how much you’ll be paying if you have 3 or 4 businesses with multiple phone lines for each of them.

Gladly traditional phone systems are just a thing of the past, VoIP phone systems are now being widely used in replacement of the latter. VoIP or Voice over Internet Protocol works by transforming analog sounds from the audio output and microphone to digital audio that can be transmitted via the internet cloud. VoIP phone systems are relatively cheaper than traditional phones but come wealthy in features and advantages.

Some VoIP providers include a very powerful option that connect multiple businesses together regardless of the industry, meaning you can have a single phone to receive and make calls for a number of companies that you represent, saving you money and relieving you from the stress of deciding which phone to use for which client.
Receiving a call is a hassle no more; the system is sophisticatedly designed to give accurate voice prompt on your end so you’ll know which of your business the client is calling.

Apart from that, VoIP phone systems also comes with tonnes of exciting features like call waiting, conference calls, call transfer from one department to another and from one office to another regardless of the distance, voice-mail with email support, digital fax, comprehensive sub menus and many more. Options may vary depending on the provider’s plans but even if all options are selected costs will still not par with a traditional phone.

Installation and set up is also a breeze, all you need are typical office resources which are likely to be present in an office i.e. internet connection, a computer and a headset. If you wish to, certain VoIP phone companies can integrate the system on your existing telephone handsets minimsing start up cost and avoiding staff retraining to a new phone system.

Moreover, an IP phone system can be accessed anywhere as long as an internet connection is available, meaning you can still manage your businesses even while you are on a weekend getaway or just spending a day away from the office thus why VoIP has become widely used around the world and has changed our perception about telecommunications.
