Point of Sale system becomes invaluable part of businesses. It is designed with a number of features that makes your businesses operations’ run faster and efficient. Like any other stores, liquor shops’ concerns include speedy checkouts, inventory management and sales monitoring. Likewise, some shops have difficulty on addressing in determining the client’s age for those products that cannot be easily purchased by minors. What’s in the POS of Liquor Stores? rnA liquor point of sale system is composed of a computer, cash drawer, printer, pole display, bar code scanner and oftentimes, an ID scanner; also, an installed POS software that helps in calculating sales and inventory levels. In liquor stores’ POS system, the manager or the owner may be able to monitor stock items and label those best and worst selling products in the store. POS software system of some states makes use as a handheld mobile computer. The use of the software enables the staff to control stocks or manage inventory even away from the cash register. What are the Features of Liquor Store POS System? rnMost of the POS system is touchscreen. Softwares include built-in loyalty programs for customers. In some POS softwares, those items that do not have bar codes do not need manual registration of codes. In a touch screen user-interface, the cashier simply touches a specific button on the screen and the price plus the taxes is calculated. When a customer gets an item and purchases it, the cash register automatically deducts it from stores’ stock. Thus, it speeds out check-out process and the customer does not need to stay long in line; at the same time, inventory is made easy for workers. Depending on the software, gift features are also offered by some stores. This is based from the fact that most buyers purchase liquor for gifts. The gift package includes gift cards and knitting gifts. Having gift features in your system will certainly entice more customers, giving traffic to stores. On the other hand, in purchasing age-sensitive product, some liquor stores require the buyer to present and ID. A specialized bar code is built on the items. The ID is collected, scanned and the machine determines if the client is at legal age to purchase such. In general, liquor store POS system reduces overbuying of items and ensures that products and other items are properly stocked. Also, the inventory process determines what on the stock, to be order and in transit.
