In 2010 alone, $26 billion had been budgeted for online marketing strategies with more than half the ad placements of companies done through the web. Today, the power of the web continues to surprise us all. And at the forefront is an entirely new perspective on the art of blogging. It is no longer exclusive to housewives; instead, marketing specialists have begun to use the power of the blogosphere to their advantage.

On the internet, where marketers wish to reach a large audience, the aim is no longer placing ads, or leading clients to empty websites. Content is king on the web, and corporate websites need high-quality, captivating content to attract its clients.

Where a company is present, so should be their content. Tell your clients what you know, prove your expertise, and gain their trust through your publications. Whether it’s an article on blogging or a step by-step guide to improving their marketing strategies; give them a sneak peek to the work that you do. Invite them to take on the challenge and to learn a thing or two from the people who know it best. Before you know it, the clients will be coming to you.

The power of blogging in lead generation is a step to attracting the client who is on a serious search for solutions, a client who wants serious individuals with unmatched services. Here are a few things you can consider when creating your blog:

1. Group them into themes. Make your blog user-friendly and allow the reader to explore various topics that are available. Group your article into themes by tagging them appropriately.

2. Provide previews. Allow the user to choose which articles to read instead of overwhelming them with several lengthy articles that come one after the other. Nobody wants to scroll forever. Provide just a preview and a link that they can click on.

3. Engage them in the buying process. Provide buying guides, kits, games, analyses that will attract clients and lead them to seeking your services – thus providing information that will make them your lead.

You never know what kind of success this might bring you, so try your hand at a few entries that might gain you the perfect leads.
