More than a year of search engine marketing, optimization and Internet marketing people share the idea that Google Page Rank (PR) had to be deleted from the list of crucial factors in the Google ranking algorithm. This started the "Depression PR" period.

Historical Background on "public relations Depression."

"PR depression" is the time when people are free from the obsession of public relations and began to share the idea that BP was not essential to get the top positions in search engines required keywords and phrases.

The typical forum gossip at the time was like:

"I do not even care about PR bar"

"PR is almost nothing good for classification, better to have anchorages in backlinks"

"You better have one. 000 additional visitors per month, plus an additional item in PR "

These are not exact quotes for SEO, SEM, instant messaging and forums, but those who lived there know that I'm giving very fashionable words. I must admit I was also very pessimistic about public relations at the same time. No, of course, I never agreed to have PR 7 or 8 years or more of any of my sites, even in these times of "depressio
PR", but many webmasters and SEO specialists and PR SEM was that it was a very manipulative that could be obtained without much trouble. Many people may assume that with the right skills and efforts of their sites PR 3.4 in a matter of several months.

So the PR magic is not given increased targeted traffic. And new trends appeared - the anchors in backlinks, one way links as an alte
ative to reciprocal links, etc. All this added to the "PR depression" and people losing faith in their magic power. For a time, Google PR went into the shade.

Matt Cutts PR is taken out of the shadows!

Matt Cutts was made by the PR buzz back on stage again. Recently Matt (Google software engineer), said a seemingly imperceptible line when discussing the problem of additional results. The direct quote from the famous Matt Cutt's blog: "If a page does not have enough PageRank to be included in our main web index, complementary results represent an additional opportunity for users to find the page ..."

And this word instantly brings the importance of public relations back to the top!

Because we can make a logical assumption that if a page has some public relations, that their chances of reaching additional results are lower. This example cries out that public relations is still very, very important for Google ranking algorithm. And perhaps not only in situations of put or place on the "supplements". If PR is a valid element for additional results, public relations can be a valid factor for many other things in the Google algorithm.

And this brings us to the search engine marketing and conclusion simlple optimization - public relations matters, matters a lot. Therefore, build more backlinks from good PR pages and get a PR!

Even PR 1 may help in some situations. Imagine that your page is only thanks to some PR does not go into supplements, which means it will be shown near the top of some key words easy, while other pages (which have PR 0 or PR will be in SUPPS) will less. Maybe this will not bring tons of traffic, but I think anyone would agree to get 300-500 extra targeted visitors per month. And if people have to take several keywords in place - the number of traffic to grow to thousands extra!
