Having a relaxed sleep makes you active and ready all the time. When one has a good diet and regular exercise then the quality of sleep may be to blame as at that time you feel tired. Sometimes without realizing the problem, people go with sleep disorder. Narcolepsy and sleep apnea are examples of sleep disorder. A person who has disrupted sleep tend to not experience restorative sleep. What exactly happens when one has the disturbed sleep or the sleeping disorder, the immune system gets affected and the person becomes more susceptible to other diseases like diabetes, cancer and even the common cold? Most of the people are found to have the medication for the sleeping disorder. Never ignore the symptoms and visit your doctor for the treatment. Always remember a good night sleep is good for health and the quality of life. by narcolepsy is the chronic sleep disorder which is characterized by overwhelming daytime drowsiness and sudden attacks of sleep which causes serious disruption in daily life. Sudden loss of muscle tone, sleep paralysis, hallucinations, restless and automatic behavior can be its symptoms. The main cause of this condition is genetics and disturbed immunity. Medications works for such patients, medicines like Adderall which is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy. This is the first choice when you want medicine for such a sleeping disorder. The exact cause of narcolepsy is not known yet, genes control the production of the chemicals in the brain that may signal sleep and wake cycles. When a person has a deficiency in the production of the chemical called hypocretin in the brain, than there are more chances of having this sleep disorder. By the physical examination narcolepsy can be diagnosed, medical history is also included. With the drug treatment, the most disabling symptom of this disorder is EDS can be controlled. Stimulants work better for fighting against this disorder. rnBy changing some of the things in lifestyle can also work with the medication. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and heavy meals. Regulate your sleep schedule, always make sure you have a daytime nap that can be 10-15minutes in length. Improving diet habits and normal exercise also works in a way to reduce the symptoms. Narcolepsy is not an inevitable disease but with some of the points to follow can keep you away from this sleep disorder. Sometimes narcolepsy is misdiagnosed as depression followed by insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea. So adjust your lifestyle and have all medications prescribed to cure fast.
