What do you do to keep your body healthy? Two things that most of us does is to exercise and eat healthy foods. However, the painful truth about it is that we cannot commit ourselves to eat nutritious foods and stay in this habit for a long time. Since our body is used to junky foods, which some of us considered tastier than the green leafy thing, others prefer to eat them. Obviously, we knew the reason why doctors in scrub uniforms always remind us to eat fruits and veggies every day. But despite of the great benefits they bring, most of us still indulge to junk foods.
Junk foods may give us delicious tastes; however, they are destroying our immune system which leads to various diseases and even death unlike the green clan of foods. Doctors, nutritionists, dietitians and the likes are recommending foods that act as antioxidants. Many people would probably have no time to know about it unless eager to change their lifestyle and tired of making a frequent visit to the hospital.
Antioxidants are simply the food nutrients that helps prevent or slow the oxidative damage to our body. This is because our body cell uses oxygen that produces free radicals or by products that causes damage. Hence, this is where antioxidants come into play. Some of the most well known oxidative damage made by free radicals includes heart disease, diabetes, macular degeneration, cancer and many more.
In fact, London researchers found out that 5 servings of vegetables and fruits can lessen the risk of stroke by 25 percent. Plus, antioxidants are also known to strengthen our immune defense and reduce the risk of cancer and infection.
Here are some of the most commo

The abovementioned antioxidants are just the common examples that most of us eat. It will be better if we can add them to our daily menu just to keep our health strong and free from any forms of diseases. These nutritious foods can help prolong our life and can definitely provide permanent benefits unlike junkies. Thus, antioxidants are considered the long time secret to have a healthy and long life.
