A STORY OF UNLOCKING THE POWER OF THE MIND There are two characters in the story - Joe and John. It is a story of two men who were roommates back in their college days. They are total opposites. Joe is tall, gangly, skinny, uncoordinated and not that good-looking. The other guy, John is handsome, serious in nature, contemplative, has a good physique and has a passion with body-building. John is also gifted with hands that can create paintings that looked like photographs. Now, the question is, who do you think became successful? If you think it is Joe, you are a contrarian. If you think it is John, you are a logician. The winner is - the contrarian, Joe. You will think that John will surely succeed because anyone will think that he has it all. He has an aesthetic physique, has rare talent in art and intelligent. In your mind, you will link success with him. With all his assets, nothing worked for him. Ladies find him boring and egotistical. His only joy was going to the gym and painting. But it is Joe. He succeeded effortlessly in everything he did. He barely studied but never dipped below the grade of 4.0 in his four years in college. He dominated the basketball team even though he was uncoordinated. He was never eloquent but was able to win in every intercollegiate speech tournaments. Also, he was not physically attractive but women liked him. What is now the difference between the two? THE FORMULA FOR UNLOCKING THE POWER OF THE MIND The parents of Joe adored him and treated him as an important person. Everyone treated him like a young god. The secret formula of Joe: the unshakeable and unsinkable self-confidence and self-esteem he has. He completely believed in himself. His loving parents believed in him and taught him to believe in himself. His parents raised him with that attitude that once he set his mind that he could do anything - he will. Since Joe loved his parents, he proved them right. It didn't bother Joe that he doesn't have the talents and physical attributes of John. In his mind, he will prove to his parents that they are right: he could do anything once he set that in his mind. To power-up your sub-conscious mind to work for you, the needed formula is "the total self-confidence attitude and high self-esteem." To have a better life, have a happy childhood and great life. There are people who transformed from nothing to something. Sometimes, it's not only being smarter and working harder. It's as simple as believing in your own true worth and value. What if you do not have a happy childhood and parents like of Joe? It's never too late to have the self-confidence and high self-esteem.
