When you think about weight loss dieting, the first thing that comes to mind is probably a low calorie diet. You normally assume that the less food you eat the more chances you have of getting rid of those extra annoying pounds. Theoretically, it makes the perfect sense to restrict calories in order to lose weight right. This may come to you as a surprise, but calorie counting is almost ineffective when it comes to permanent weight loss. If you want to get rid of that stubborn fat and for good, a low calorie diet is not the answer.
Regular exercise might do the trick, but you may lose weight permanently without exhausting workout sessions. Besides, if you are more of a sedentary person and physical exercise has not ever been your thing, you will find it very difficult to go on a regular exercise program. It can take up a lot of your time, which is completely unnecessary and can be a waste of time.
As for fat burning pills, you should to know better than to believe that they can make you slim down in no time. They are a complete waste of money and may even pose some health risk, especially if you suffer from a heart condition. Natural foods are far more powerful in burning fat than these bogus diet pills. The same goes for ab belts or any other weight loss gadgets. They may be useful to some extent, but there is absolutely no need for them if you go on a healthy diet to lose weight.
A low calorie diet is not a healthy and effective diet for weight loss. Fewer calories do not maximize your weight loss. Your body and metabolism have the capacity to adjust to a drop in the number of calories very fast. This means that you will see no spectacular and long lasting results if you starve yourself to death by going on a low calorie diet. A balanced diet and a new eating pattern is what you need in order to stimulate your body to burn fat more effectively while storing as little fat as possible. This can only be achieved if you know the right way to combine calories and eat more than three meals a day.
A low calorie diet will most likely prevent you from eating carbohydrates and any other types of food that boost your energy, this will leave you feeling very miserable. Besides, some of those so called healthy foods that low calories typically include are very likely to increase weight, instead of helping you lose weight.
The bottom line is that a low calorie diet can only solve part of the problem. It will provide your body with fewer calories, which is a good thing essentially. But it will fail to address the other part of the problem, namely helping your body produce the hormones that accelerate the fat burning process. A low calorie diet equals a lower calorie intake but also a decreased fat burning rate. Therefore, the secret to long-term, permanent weight loss is not a low calorie diet, but a balanced combination of calories and a well-devised meal pattern.
