A main fundamental problem with the polycystic ovarian syndrome is that it caused because of hormonal imbalance. In women with PCOS, the ovaries produce excessive androgens than normal. Androgens are male hormones that females also produce. Increased levels of these hormones disturb the development and production of eggs during the time of ovulation. Researchers think that insulin might have a connection with PCOS. Insulin is a hormone that regulated the change of sugar, starches, and other food particles into the form of energy for the body to further use or store. Many women with PCOS have excessive insulin in their bodies because they have difficulty in consuming it. Excess insulin triggers to increase in the production of androgen.
