The science of the mind is a wonder to anyone who engages research on the subject, there are quite a number of fascinating facts one gets while reading scientist’s research. Before engaging in any external act of mind alteration, it is very important to understand that the mind can perform whatever act an individual set it’s to do through positive thinking. The Brain and science of the mind There are quite a number of things one can write about the brain, this is the most complicated organ in the human anatomy, and it also doubles up to be the main controlling organ for each and every human activity. The brain is made up of billions of cells which are interconnected to each other through nerve systems. The brain is divided into two, there is the right hemisphere and the left hemisphere these two hemispheres have unique functions. The definition of the mind is rather complex in itself since the mind resides in the brain. The mind operates in two states namely the conscious mind and the subconscious mind. Research has it that the subconscious mind processes almost 90 percent of any event represented to an individual. The mind can be trained to think and act in a prearranged manner, that’s the reason behind success of most self development therapies.
